How to watch TV to the glory of God
|
|
As Christians, our great
desire must be to live to the glory of God. How are we to promote such living?
We need to have our thinking and behaviour shaped and changed by Christ through
His word. It is therefore vital for us to be aware of the conforming power of
the media, especially television, to shape us all. We must assess its influence.
Should we watch it? Will it help us to become more like Christ? |
Amyand Park Chapel has been part of the local community for
over one hundred years. We are not a sect or some new religious
movement. On the contrary, we believe the same
Christian Gospel which first reached these shores centuries
ago. It is this good news which we wish to share with you.
In this web site
you will find a selection of
personal accounts of how ordinary people, members at the
chapel, have come to know and love the living God. You will
see from their experience that the Gospel is for all, regardless
of age, background and culture. It is not about religion but a
real life-changing relationship with the
Lord Jesus Christ.

Dan Brown’s novel, The Da Vinci
Code, has been one of the blockbusters of the last few
years. It has sold in its millions and has been translated
into many languages and has made Dan Brown a millionaire.

The trouble is people believe The Da Vinci Code.
Despite the fact that it is riddled with errors and has been
torn to shreds by both Christians and non-Christians alike,
people seem to think that they are true.
These errors are easily refuted but, in order for us to do
that, we need to know what those lies are and what the truth
is. Fortunately that much has been written about the book’s
errors.

Seek the Lord while
He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near (Isaiah 55:6)
God has promised that
those who seek Him with all
their heart will always find Him.
